The story behind 49+ free tools, zero sign-ups, and one simple idea.
Why Toolbit exists
I built Toolbit because I was tired of searching for a simple tool — a word counter, a tip calculator, a JSON formatter — only to land on a page stuffed with ads, paywalls, or a mandatory sign-up just to count some words.
The idea is simple: every tool should work instantly, in your browser, with no friction. No account. No download. No data going anywhere. You paste your text, enter your numbers, or click generate — and it just works.
What we've built
Toolbit started with a handful of everyday utilities and has grown to 49+ tools across 6 categories:

- Converters — 7 tools
The site is available in English, Spanish, and Catalan. New tools are added regularly.
How it's made
Toolbit is built with Astro and Tailwind CSS. Every page is statically generated — there's no server processing your input. The password generator uses the Web Crypto API for cryptographically secure randomness. Nothing you type ever leaves your browser.
The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting and uses Google AdSense to stay free. Analytics are collected via Firebase Analytics with your consent only.
Privacy by design
Toolbit collects no personal data. All tool computations happen client-side. Third-party services (AdSense, Firebase Analytics) are only activated after you give consent via the cookie banner. See our full Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details.
